Shoot in the five images in the style of one of the following photographers from your syllbus' contemporary photographer section. It's Thanksgiving so the contemporary photographers is a great one to end on. Pick one of the following: Katy Grannan, Martine Franck, Phillippe Halsman, Hendrik Kerstens and or Annie Leibovitz. LAST PHOTO DIARY SO MAKE IT GREAT:)

I will have a list for you over thanksgiving of your photo diary assignments so that you can prep those. I believe Kathryn and Hannah said they would like to make the books together so that way you can ship together.

We have a show for you to apply to for your final. You can choose any body of work that we have worked on over the semester. We will be finishing up edits to your proposals / adding slide list and images and you'll send in work at the end of the semester for the show.

Tuesday, Nov. 19

Thank you for taking down and repairing the gallery. Please bring your revised gallery proposals to class printed out for credit. Start working on your tests and plans so that you can start in on material. We will have one of two more digital assignments and then we will get started on getting the diary together before the end of the semester. If you weren't happy with any of those assignments please consider reshooting before we assemble the book. See you Tuesday. We will probably need to replace film developer first thing on Tuesday.

Her artwork has been featured on both national and local stages.

ARTIST STATEMENT / SHOW CONCEPT (yes this how it works if work not made yet in the real world:) (pg 4)

REQUIREMENTS (Number of pieces / Dimensions / Material / Hanging Requirements for the pieces)
(pg 5)

Staple these together and ready to turn in on Thursday.

Please have all of this graphically treated so that it catches the "gallery owners eye" This is really important that it is not centered word document. Even if no graphic treatment - stay away from center and Times New Roman - you would be amazed at how far a good looking proposal document will get you.
